June 29, 2006

Pearson is severely injured by a hit-and-run driver while on his bicycle.

November 2006

After two surgeries and months of painful recovery, Pearson starts physical therapy and is able to ride on an indoor recumbent bike.

April 2007

Pearson buys a new bike and begins riding outside again.

May 2007

Planning to do the cross-country ride in September 2007, Pearson is forced to postpone the trip after he is told by his doctors that the ride will do further permanent damage to his back.

June 2007- 2008

Pearson undergoes more treatments on his back and he and Peter train for the ride across Route 20.

May 15, 2008

Pearson & Peter host a fundraiser and ride in Skaneateles, NY.

May 21, 2008

The Ride of Silence. Pearson and Peter will lead a ride on Central Ave in Greenburgh , NY- the same road on which Pearson was hit.

Summer 2008

Pearson and Peter continue to train and raise funds for the trip.

August 12, 2008
